Lore:
After the subjugation of Northern Regalia, the once-proud Valkyrie capital; Aestonia turned her Gaze upon the distant and enigmatic land of Meracydia. The campaigns were marked by ferocity, as Aestonia’s forces sought to carve their dominion into the sacred, dragon-guarded soil.
However Meracydia was no ordinary prize—it was a land steeped in divine protection, Guarded by the warring triad.
The Aestonian advance was halted by the Goddess of the land herself; Sophia, whose scales always balanced in favor of her people. The uphill battles raged yet still neither side could claim victory. For the first time, Aestonia met not conquest, but bitter defeat. Halted by Sophia, the second of the Triad, whose wisdom and grace were unmatched The Valkyries of Aestonia, hardened from countless victories, found themselves outmatched...
Had Aestonia succeeded in overcoming Sophia, they would have only faced even graver dangers; Sephirot, the Fiend of Destruction, stood ready to crush their forces underfoot, beyond the giant trees and world seeds, the abyssal force of Zervan, the Demon of Entropy, poised to unravel the very fabric of reality itself. Yet, such an outcome would never come to pass.
The Aestonian forces, battered and broken, were forced into retreat. They had met their match.
The standstill would become a scar upon Aestonia's pride, a haunting reminder that even the mightiest Sovereigns could falter before the will of the gods.
