Author's Comments:
Someone suggested this idea to me for their Phoenix conjurer character, so I gave it a shot and... 21 options later, here we are. This mod changes the Wings of Ruin mount to use the wings, and optionally also the tail, from the Phoenix mob and its various recolors.
Works on all races and genders.
Has a few different options toggles, including:
-Option to use the wings either with or without a tail, which will sprout from the back upon flight.
-Four color options: Fiery, Red and White, Purple, and Rising Phoenix.
-Thirteen (lol) different VFX options, with a few that go with each color scheme, as well as an option to turn VFX off entirely.
If you use the option with tail, please note that, when you are on the ground, instead of disappearing properly like it should, the tail just kinda... Shrinks? To a very tiny size, and hangs out like that behind your player's back. You can hardly notice it. But it's there. I tried using attributes to hide it like the original mount does but they did not work for some reason. Until I figure out how to fix this, it'll have to be that way, unfortunately.
The wings have a rather noticeable gap between the shoulderblades while in flight (i.e. not on the ground). This gap actually exists in the vanilla model as well, and is just hidden by the VFX and the extra bits that grow out of your back upon flight. I suspect it's there to allow the model to work on all player race models, so I don't think there's too much that can be done about it. It's just a constraint of the skeleton used. It's much less noticeable while on the ground, though.
If you like my work, I have a Ko-Fi linked in my profile where you can send a little tip if you feel so inclined. I don't paywall any of my mods and work on these for free, so it'd be super appreciated!
