Rudy the Elderly Pomeranian

Just me (Kuro Maru)

Hi, welcome to my first mod! It's a simple little texture mod to make Chewy look like my irl dog Rudy!

About 2-3 years ago or so, some friends found Rudy dodging cars on the street with signs of advanced neglect. When we got his chip scanned at the vet, we found out the owners listed had rehomed him with someone down the street, and that those people threw him out. Neither person contacted wanted him back. But wouldn't you know it, I've always dreamed of having a little elderly black pomeranian, and there he was needing a home! It was love at first sight.

It took a long time to get his skin to heal and coat to grow back and his nails to be trimmed to proper length without causing him pain (ngl the nail grinder machine has been wonderful for this, no more ouchies). But the whole time he had a persistent cough that the vet thought would just go away on it's own. We found out around this time last year that it was actually caused by congestive heart failure. We found this out because he collapsed after days of difficulty breathing and we had to take him to the emergency vet where he had to have an overnight stay in an oxygen kennel.

The vet gave us The Talk about keeping him comfy with proper medication and care and keeping an eye on his quality of life. Thankfully, the medication has really helped! He's a happy lil guy who loves finding chicken wings in the grass on our walks (we live down the street from a chicken restaraunt and people litter...). But, we don't really know how long he's got, so we're making every second count. And now, with this texture mod, he can live on the internet forever!
