doable via Anamnesis and/or Customize+ plugin!
Author's Comments:
Have yet to find a mod that removes the right arm in any capacity, it's always left arm, and I understand that (given the minor visual glitches that occur with most animations when the right arm is removed), but it's nonetheless bothered me, since my WoL is missing her right arm from the elbow down! So here's a body scale mod for her, that I'm uploading for the rest of you.
Details on how to do this yourself for whatever other limbs you want to delete below!
APPLY (GPOSE)
When on the Anamnesis posing screen, hit the dropdown arrow next to "Import", and there will be an option to import body scale - just select this file, and say goodbye to the right arm.
APPLY (GAMEPLAY)
Requires the Customize+ plugin (available with the Dalamud XIVLauncher). Install plugin, open Customize+, and hit the "Import scale from Anamnesis" button. Then just select this file, and now there is no right arm in gameplay either! Walk around, emote, enter battle, etc. Gameplay unaffected, only the visuals. I've never been happier :)
NOTES:
- Obviously this causes visual ""glitches"", namely certain weapons will float, etc.
- Most emotes (/pet, /point, /poke, /fistbump, /me, /goodbye, just to name a few) focus on right arm animation, so those are also broken visually.
- With Anamnesis gposing, you can always do the emote, pause in the pose you want, and then hit "flip" to mirror it so the left hand is the dominant hand instead, which I used to do even before I started deleting the right arm wholesale.
- There's still a triangle of texture where the hand used to be?? I don't know how to delete this. It's barely noticeable, though, and in Anamnesis during gposing you can always move the elbow joint until the texture is hidden by the body.
- Works with Ilusio Vitae Custom Skeleton (IVCS)!
MAKE YOUR OWN (OR COMBINE WITH OTHER BODY SCALING MODS)
If you want to delete more of the right arm, or want to delete other limbs, it's really simple! Open Anamnesis, go into gpose, and enable scaling. This is done by ticking the scaling box up in the right, immediately below "help". There's R, P, and S, and S is for scaling!
From there, simply select the bone you want to delete, and set its scaling to 0. This has to be done per bone, one at a time. When you are finished, hit export! It will save as a .pose file, but it's meant to.
If you are using a different body scaling mod with customize+ and want to combine them, first make sure customize+ is disabled before entering gpose, otherwise it will override your new scaling. You will then want to load your desired scale via anamnesis Import > Body scale, and then start deleting things. Make sure to unlink the scaling, to verify all three variables are set to 0.
(For example, I wanted combine with another body scaling mod which set some bones to 1.15 on the Y and Z axes, so when linked it set X to 0, but Y and Z to 0.15... which is not what you want!)
If you are using IVCS, you will have to set the extra finger/toe bones it adds to 0 as well! Don't forget them.
