Overview:
PVP in style with the iconic 'Broad Legged' Edge Punisher weapon utilized by The Terror of Death, imported and modified from .hack//VERSUS on PS3.
It replaces both the Chondrite Magitek Guillotine and the Imperial Magitek Guillotine - so Dark Knight only!
This weapon originally appeared in the release version of .hack//GU Volume 1. This model is an edit of the PS3 version from .hack//VERSUS, not the original PS2 version.
Features:
- Adjustments made by myself include modifying the mesh to include the correct number of blades (8 instead of the original PS2 model's 5 and the PS3 model's 6) to match cutscenes and promotional artwork.
- The weapon is animated: while the animation is not game-accurate, it's better than nothing!
New for 2.0: The diffuse map has been retired, and a brand new mask and ID map implemented. The sword now looks much nicer and can be fully colorset edited; I'll likely push a minor update in the future to make it dye-able the normal way as well.
Credits:
- Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 for the .hack games, which had a profound impact on me as a child. This mod, janky as it is, is my first real FFXIV mod and was something I wanted to do for a long time - I've been wanting to bring this weapon with me on new adventures after all this time.
I do not own anything in this mod - this is just the work of a fan and all rights belong to their respective owners.
