MT GL-MR-63 Slate

The 'Garlond Marksman Rifle 63' (GL-MR-63) Given a shorthand name, 'Slate', is an in-workshop created weapon, made to fire a strong, long cartridge, the receiver is constructed out of durable metals, the rail on top consists of a light, yet stiff alloy, the stock and foregrip sturdy lumber, the overall package weighs a decent amount, however, it sits on the balance of being enough to lessen the recoil, and being enough to be comfortable to shoot for extended periods.

The Slate, despite its plentiful plusses, hasn't been field tested, as no forces have adopted it, mostly due to expenses from the engineering and machining precision that goes into these rifles, and a general lack of desire for a rifle of this caliber in a state where there isn't a massive conflict.

The expenses for owning one privately, however, would surely be covered easily by an adventurer who has been to the stars and back.
