This mod adjusts SFX, VFX, the animations of two skills, and the Camera Effects of certain skills. For the VFX, the underlying effects of the original game are fully retained, but all materials, colors, and textures have been replaced and modified to present the style of the brand - new “Ascension” series.

The design concept for “Evercold Ascension” has two main points. First, the VFX style of the Reaper’s base form takes the 8.0 “Evercold” theme as its foundation and incorporates the “Ascension” series style. Second, the VFX for the Avatar and during Enshroud draw inspiration from the Cosmic Horror and Dark Cosmic series, creating the style of a Outsider from another universe.

“Ascension” is inspired by the “Prestige Skin” concept from a certain game. Prestige skins represent ultimate perfection — early on, they were luxurious variants of specific base skins with extremely high collectible value. Their designs heavily feature gold, crystal, and diamond textures, building a sense of ultimate luxury. This series will completely follow the original game’s VFX for its variant designs, and subsequent standalone “Ascension” series releases will be provided for free.
