AI - Claude code
Author's Comments:
This is a downloadable app, not a plugin.
Meridian is a desktop app that uses the FFLogs API to gather information about an encounter (currently supporting Heavyweight savage and DMU), calculates downtime and forced movements via log data, and simulates how much potency you could deliver during the kill time achieved in your log. This lets players measure how well they performed within their circumstances; without worrying about Crits or if your Dragoon was doing backflips and delayed his buff slightly. The app then provides feedback on your rotation compared to the simulated one, and can help suggest better timings or ability usage. Also included, for healers, is a mitigation/heal planner that attempts to measure "unavoidable" damage from mechanics and come up with a plan to mitigate and heal through it for the whole party, and stacks it against your used mit. The efficiency score there is graded against how many "locked" GCDs you had to spend healing. There is also a Kill Time Theorizer to help a user infer what combo they should aim for given a specific kill time, for players that want to theorycraft rotations based on kill time and factor in downtime/mechanics. Prog logs ARE supported (they infer a kill time), and ultimates are broken down by Phases to help players maximize their rotation within a phase instead of just big picture - since DPS checks must be met.
I made this because I just wanted to use Automaton Queen better and then it became a bigger project. The code is open source and operates under a standard AGPL-3.0 License. AI was used to write a lot of the code, but this was still a project I spent a few months on refining and making sure worked as best as I could reasonably get it to work on my own. The mit planner in particular is a WIP, and while v1.1 has a lot of improvements don't hesitate to report bugs!
Things it won't do:
-------------------------
live feedback/rotations (this is not a cheating tool)
leaderboards, for two reasons
1. I'm not trying to replace FFLogs or DPS as a measuring stick - efficiency doesn't make for a good measurement
2. I don't really want to make network requests to servers people don't have excellent visibility of; and a leaderboard feels like a direct misuse of the excellent and free FFLogs API.
v1.3.1 changelog:
Made echo kills discoverable
