I finally started playing the game again and saw there was a quick fix for this mod with textools. I've now updated the mod and it works post DT now right out the box :)
A carbuncle with the effects of a TEA weapon! This little rarin' guy comes in two different colors with different options for the effects. Looks pretty bad with glare disabled, the one at the bottom of graphics settings. Only allowed 1 image so look at the file tab for more previews including videos :D
