βA somewhat scuffed implementation of a chain leash. Applied via the Imperial Salute (/imperialsalute) emote. Has various options regarding leash attach points and comes in two sizes! Works on any targetable entity including things like interactable objects, minions, pets, and...other players π. Mileage may vary depending on the target.
Effect persists until your character is reloaded (zone change, mounting up, entering gpose, penumbra redraw, etc). Consequently, I'd recommend using this with Penumbra for easy removal.
βMainly intended for use in-game; if you want something more detailed for screenshots, I'd recommend getting a pose-able 3d model leash such as the ones found here:

Feel free to update/edit/port/release your own versions! I might add a quick guide for doing simple edits later on.
Issues/Limitations/NotesI had to make a compromise with the "leash holder" variants which prevents the leash from being able to fade out after exceeding a distance threshold, so only the "leashed" versions fade out when you move too far away (18 yalms).
Due to the way VFX files work, adding more options to this generally requires that they be combined under a single menu item. I had ambitions to allow for more attachment points, sizes, and alternate colors, but the dropdown is already getting long and it doubles in size with each additional option.
I can't find a good way to toggle the VFX on/off and still keep the other desired behaviours, so redrawing/reloading the character that applied it is the only way to remove it (for now).
