As always a psd file is included with all the transparents.
If the scars are too light for you, you can up the opacity in the psd file.

To change the colours of the glow or turn it off you need to:
go into the mod on penumbra
advance mods
material
select your race material
edit the colourset emmsive

If you dont want the rune text to glow make the emmisive section black and they will be the same colour as the scars.
