The FN Minimi is probably one of the most famous modern machine guns in service. Produced in 9 different countries under license and adopted by 45 countries in total, this lightweight machine gun in 5.56x45mm NATO is one of the most used light support weapons today.
Most famous is the M249 SAW variant used by the US military. The one here is actually the FN Minimi Mk 2, but we're calling it the M249 because that's what most people would identify it as!
Coming in at only 7kg, this man-portable SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) offers incredible firepower on the move and is integral to any infantry squad!
