Author's Comments:
This mod replaces Midlander male face 6 with an edited version of Hien's head mesh. The eyes and nose are different and it's been resized to fit at the neck and under all hair meshes.
I chose 6 because it was the least ugly face that wasn't number 5 which Arbert/Derplander uses (although he has a unique mesh) and seems to be the favourite among other players and is used a lot for NPCs.
I added/changed the customisation options to include:
+ Hien's scar to replace the vanilla eyebrow scar.
+ An eyebrow piecing and a top-of-the-ear piecing replace the other vanilla scars.
(for all you edgelord pirates)
+ The archon/scion neck tattoo
+ My own design neck tattoo which is a stylised version of the Hebrew word for LIGHT
(if you speak Hebrew and it looks illegible or wonky AF, I'm sorry)
+ A moustache that I don't want to talk about.
+ Hien's vanilla beard as an option.
+ Dark eyebrows even with blond hair.
Limitations:
You cannot change the shape of the face or the size of the iris. If you bump into another face six, they will look like your twin/cousin.
You cannot have odd eyes, I tried REALLY hard to make this happen and I just couldn't because it relies on vertex colours which are disabled by TexTools when you disable shape data. If you don't know what that means, don't worry, but it ain't happening.
You CAN do something weird with the eye colours though because the using odd eyes will colour both eyes with the separate colours. This usually ends up with some form of glowy beige but you can make colours that aren't in the table.
The head is a fraction slimmer than the other heads. You may see tiny gaps at the temples with some hair styles. It's not really noticeable and I'm not effing around with that mesh anymore.
You can use face paint (and lip colour) which is why I made neck tattoos.
Finally...
The mod isn't perfect but I like how it turned out. I got to the point where trying to fix every single imperfection was making it worse so I just had to stop and release it. Even though maybe three people will even use it because who even plays Midlander men?
